I Thomas Sankara will reconcile
African brotherhood, and
restore the monuments made of wood
too long we’ve waited for a Saviour
to combat corruption and terrorism
from dawn till dusk peeping
like an infant we cry without a mother
wandering for sweet, but sweat we lick
for some years our land is rule
by Mistress and Madam, who
devour our sugar,
Our barns invaded by Vultures
who patted our Potentates
and deny them their ancestral throne
If this is my last pledge
I’ll stop the vultures waiting for black carcass.
