Before I go on preliminary investigation of your love,
Your love has confined me into the realm of your heart.
Booking my emotions in the log book of your heart,
Your beauty drew my eyes to initial appearance,
Calling me to an arraignment, an unknown offence,
The information your heart received, unshaken feelings.
Give me a reduction of charges, let our hearts twist,
Don’t let my heart sentence to death before you admit,
Appeal my heart and find remedy to my weary heart,
Rescue me from the incarceration of loneliness,
Sue me not to a trial, I am innocent as dove,
Release from the prison of my heart, I am dying of your love.
The love that beats within me, it must be served a writ,
For passions stirred, the court of love must hear my pleadings fit.
The jury of my feelings, they must weigh the evidence,
The case for love, it must be proven with relentless sense.
In this legal battle for affection, I am the plaintiff true,
My heart the witness, testifying to love that’s old and new.
