I wish I could peel my mask,
But like a glass, I try to be clear,
What you see is what I am
And that’s the mask I have.
Peeling it off makes me a stranger to myself,
I can’t be another, for the sake of my peace,
I stay vested, never to destroy my realness
Because it’s a mess I can’t afford to take.
I saw them, fakers, real snitches talking right but they’re fake,
Never, will I wish to creep,
Because one way or the other,
The truth always attacks when lying to sleep.
I have no mask to peel,
I live my life in the first lane,
Whatever comes my way I take it like it is,
I don’t fake my feelings to fit anywhere,
Because whoever loves me does it no matter how I feel.
