A dark place, a dark night
An estranged setting with no feasible channels of freedom
Like a humanoid embodiment of a shadow world
Hopelessly, I wander about the labyrinth
Trapped and faced with a never ending maze
Trying to ferret out of the hellhole
The quest for asylum out of this world
Is becoming a hardly possible pilgrimage
Desperation unshackles.
Hope for liberation is melting away,
Like every snow does in summer
Come hell or high water
Persistence for an outlet
Drowns the despairing feeling of captivity
A glimmer of hope soothes a depressed soul
With a beautiful patience like that of the walk of a tortoise
I make a stand here, right now
Whether it be a hundred years
I will tear down the walls that hold me inside
An inevitable alternative fuels the passion for autonomy
Liberation is within reach
I will escape, or die trying
